We are currently taking applicants for the following position:
Project Manager - Construction
The scope of your role will include but not be limited to :
* Develop & maintain a good working relationship with end user and bring all commercial matters to a timely conclusion, which enhances the project profitability
* Create an empowered and challenging site team culture that delivers outstanding performance in HSE&Q and achieves successful business performance.
* Receive, assess, bid and win competitive tenders for new work.
* Co-ordinate staff to work safely, productively, efficiently and effectively as an integrated team.
* Lead, demonstrate and educate the team to embrace a work environment free of discrimination, where everyone is treated with respect.
* Provide leadership to employees through proactive management of industrial relation issues.
* Ensure the correctness of data and its inclusion into the CV and other documents for the Project.
* Evaluate the monthly progress numbers, actual cost, forecast cost and determine where improvements could be made.
To be successful in this role you will need have :
* Relevant degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or possibly Project Management
* 15 years+ working exposure to construction
* 10 years+ as a manager or leader of people in the civil construction area
* Experience of major Mine sites and the associated hazards preferable.
* Experience in leading a large civil construction site team, some overseas experience an advantage.
* Cultural sensitivity with an understanding of issues relevant to large scale civil projects within developing countries
