PT Clipan Finance Indonesia Tbk ("Perseroan" or "Clipan Finance") was founded in 1982 as a joint venture between Credit Lyonnais of France and PT Panin Bank Tbk ("Panin Bank"). Currently the Company is engaged in the business for consumer auto financing and leasing of heavy equipment. Clipan Finance is a finance company first listed its shares on the Jakarta Stock Exchange and the Securities Exchange Parallel in 1990.

In 1977, Panin Bank took over the ownership of Credit Lyonnais in Clipan Finance and became the majority shareholder. Since then, various attempts have been made Clipan Finance improvements, such as improved management and updating information technology systems, and improving corporate strategy Clipan Finance to improve the performance of the Company.

The increase reflected the Company's performance of the award as the Best Listed Company in the Multi-Sector finance in the form INVESTOR Award in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2004 from Investor Magazine, and Prasetio FEUI Utomo. This growth trend continued in 2005, the Company recorded a significant increase in revenues of 33.9% to Rp. 158.1 billion and December 31, 2005, Clipan Finance recorded total assets of Rp. 747.8 billion and total equity of Rp. 409.7 billion
